2nd soccer games

So the girls had their second games this past weekend. Both were in town so that was good. Both the girls were not feeling well and had a soar throat.
First was Haileys game. This time she didnt get a goal and tired pretty easy. She did her best though. Dulcimer came to the games so they had more support this time.
Alyssa was next. Her game lasted longer. Again, she didnt feel well but did her best. She was hit in the nose and had to sit on the side lines for a bit but other than that, she did awesome. Her team didnt win but they did much better this time.
My throat hurt by the end of the day. I was screaming pretty much the whole time. I find that when they get supported and people cheer them on, the better they did. So I screamed for them the whole time. Alyssa is a great defender so thats what she did most the time.
Nathan is the assistant coach for Alyssa's team so he was there steering them in the right direction. He is a bit hard on the but they need the motivation.
So for now, Nathan is working on conditioning them. They need it. Until next game................

Potty Training has started!

So we have started potty training the twins. Not as easy task. We tried using panties. No go. We tried using pull ups, no go. So one day we just let them run around naked. And wha la! Megan went pee pee in the potty!
So from then on, when they are home, no pantie's! This was for about a week. So now they wear panties all day unless they take a nap or we go bye bye. Oh yah, we also bribe them with gummy bears. They get one every time they go pee pee and we hear them tinkle. Its so cute.

So far no poopies. They both have tried to go to the potty and pooped on the floor next to it. Just not in it. Still working on that.

So far so good. Less diapers for me to buy. They get so excited when they go pee pee now. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now!!!

September 8, 2007 1st Soccer Games!

So yesterday was both the girls games. So nathan took Alyssa to her game in Hillsboro and I took Hailey to hers here in St Helens. They have been working hard at practice for the last 3 weeks so this was the big day.

Alyssa's game went really good. The other team had more players so they took turns playing. So they were able to get rest. Unfortunatly Alyssa's team is small and they didnt get to rest at all. So they were tired quickly. They didnt win and she was pretty bummed. She did her best though and thats all we ask. We are proud of her for not giving up. Good job Alyssa!

Hailey started off not having a good day. While waiting to get her soccer pictures taken, she tripped on the concrete and cut her hand and scrapped her knee. Poor baby. Not to mention that we had to change her shirt back and forth about 4 times because we werent sure which one to use. Her pictures needed the yellow jersey then the game was after and they needed the black jersey. It was funny because in order for her to change, we had to use our soccer quilt wrapped around her so no one would see her. LOL!

So anyways, they split up half the team and one played on the right and the other on the left. Then they switched. So they actually played 2 games. Hailey was the most aggressive player out there. She was always within feet of the ball if not having the ball on her own. She scored 5 goals during the games. The other team only scored 2 and one of Haileys team memebers scored one. She dominated the whole game. She has a soccer face too. When she is playing, she scrunches her face and looks mean. Its funny. So anyways, they dont play for points because its first graders so no one won. But we know who won, HAILEY!

So the girls have games every saturday and practice 4 days a week so were pretty busy. I will keep you posted. Wish us luck!
