So yesterday was both the girls games. So nathan took Alyssa to her game in Hillsboro and I took Hailey to hers here in St Helens. They have been working hard at practice for the last 3 weeks so this was the big day.
Alyssa's game went really good. The other team had more players so they took turns playing. So they were able to get rest. Unfortunatly Alyssa's team is small and they didnt get to rest at all. So they were tired quickly. They didnt win and she was pretty bummed. She did her best though and thats all we ask. We are proud of her for not giving up. Good job Alyssa!
Hailey started off not having a good day. While waiting to get her soccer pictures taken, she tripped on the concrete and cut her hand and scrapped her knee. Poor baby. Not to mention that we had to change her shirt back and forth about 4 times because we werent sure which one to use. Her pictures needed the yellow jersey then the game was after and they needed the black jersey. It was funny because in order for her to change, we had to use our soccer quilt wrapped around her so no one would see her. LOL!
So anyways, they split up half the team and one played on the right and the other on the left. Then they switched. So they actually played 2 games. Hailey was the most aggressive player out there. She was always within feet of the ball if not having the ball on her own. She scored 5 goals during the games. The other team only scored 2 and one of Haileys team memebers scored one. She dominated the whole game. She has a soccer face too. When she is playing, she scrunches her face and looks mean. Its funny. So anyways, they dont play for points because its first graders so no one won. But we know who won, HAILEY!
So the girls have games every saturday and practice 4 days a week so were pretty busy. I will keep you posted. Wish us luck!
